This is a true recreation of an anime in live action and its suffers and complements all of anime's strengths and flaws. The story though thin is still compeling and carries with it a strong morality play.
Also the action is amazing and visually stunning as well being everything you would think an action movie would need. The cinematography is great as well and really helps tell the story visually.
