There are only three movies in which my jaw has hit the floor when it comes to visual effects; Jurassic Park, Transfomers and this Sci-Fi gem that is Casshern.

The style of this movie is absolutely wonderful, superb, sublime even.

Set in the late 21st century, a war between Europa and the Eastern Federation has devastated the planet over the last 5 decades. The war has ended with the Eastern Federation being victorious ... but there can be no glorious peace. Mankind has broken. A war that has lasted half a century has ripped the soul and heart of the people apart, left to live in a world devastated beoynd imagination.

However there is hope. A scientist has created what is called a neo-cell, which has the ability to incredibly rejuvenate the human body. But of course this great discovery only opens the door to mankinds extinction.

Now, that was hard work!!!! Because this story isn't the easiest to follow. It is very confusing at times, and with their being so much (foreign) dialogue you find yourself lost at times with the subtitles.

But saying that, this is still a wonder of a movie. You will definatly feel the pay off come the end with a brilliant finale.

And as for those effects .. never have I seen anything so mind blowing, awe inspiring and just plain WOW!!!!! on screen. The anime inspiration can clearly be seen and anyone who is a fan of the japanese animation needs to see this ... everyone needs to see this!!
