Review of Cassandra's Dream (2007) by Stephen M — 15 Aug 2008
I don't know about the rest of the world, but I'm really enjoying Woody Allen's dark streak. Granted, Cassandra's Dream isn't the greatest film to come around recently, but it's still a solid piece of dramatic cinema.
To be honest, Ewan McGregor and Colin Farrell are really what hold the picture together. Their brotherly bond is portrayed quite well and with much believability. You feel good when they do, bad when they do, and wonder what's going to happen as they scratch their heads.
Well written, well acted, it delivers a good amount of suspense without getting lost in the muck of most crime dramas. Ain't morality grand!
