Review of Cassandra's Dream (2007) by Amy S — 22 May 2013
Okay, after thinking about this... a lot, I've realized that I did, indeed, really love this movie. If you look at it as a dark comedy, it's practically perfect, and I'm pretty sure that was the way it was supposed to be viewed.
Some parts were particularly funny, like the brothers' first confrontation with Uncle Howard under the trees, and when Terry was surprised by Burns at the bar. Ewan McGregor was great, but Colin Farrell stood out.
He really played this character fantastically; He had the 'lost little boy' quality this character needed and was completely convincing as this scared and worried man. He is so absolutely adorable and sweet here.
Both he and Ewan are very good. Tom Wilkinson is as creepy as always.
