Review of Cassandra's Dream (2007) by Luisfelipe Z — 02 Sep 2008
Woody Allen did it again. This was a fantastic film with wonderful acting and quite an intriguing plot. I think it did a great job of really portraying a downward spiral of one sin after another. The deeper you get yourself into a world like this, the harder it becomes to redeem yourself and this movie really showed that.
Selfishness, greed, lust..I think it really brought to attention how all those sins can really destroy ones life. People complained that this movie was slow, but I don't agree. It kept pulling me in further, watching these two brothers getting deeper and deeper into it.
I actually thought Colin Farrell was the best one in the movie, which is surprising because I'm not usually a big fan of his. Great job in this film, though. And a great score by Philip Glass. Loved this film.
