Review of Cassandra's Dream (2007) by Mark A — 01 Jul 2009
Had a lot of potential to be something really good but just doesn't make it. At the midway point the film starts to spread thin and doesn't get back to the level it was at when it started. Colin Farrell shows that he can act, and is underrated.
Ewan McGregor does that part but doesn't really take it to another level like Farrell. Tom Wilkinson does very well as always, but then sadly disappears after a couple of good scenes. The ending is a love it or hate one.
I liked it but it kinda felt abrupt, maybe even easy. The film felt like something that Alfred Hitchcock could have made great.
