Review of Cassandra's Dream (2007) by Marco S — 22 Sep 2009
Woody Allen explores the substantial contrasts through the means of the classic story where one "makes a deal with the devil" per se. The film was slow starting off, however without this pacing, the meat of the story would not have spiraled out of control as fast.
The movie was full of wonderful, witty narrative (and even a few laughs to even out the extreme tone). Allen explores his classic theme of removing the "good guy," however this is not what the film is about.
Every single theme in this film has a contrasting theme, as if making order out of chaos. It can be attempted, but never achieved.
