Review of Cassandra's Dream (2007) by Marcelo M — 13 Dec 2009
Every time I decide to watch something from Woody Allen, I can be sure not to end up disappointed. He has a consistency that few directors have and if for some reason I don't find the story intriguing, I can always admire the photography, some interesting character or the acting.
"Cassandra's Dream" reminds me of his brilliant "Match Point", because both involves great and rather complex stories about tragedies, and, not to forget, beautiful environments.
Allen has gathered an impressive set of actors too, and it's a treat to watch them together. Thinking of all the great scripts Woody Allen has written lately, I think it should be illegal for him not to continue on this 1 movie/year he has been doing lately.
