Review of Casino (1995) by Kurt F — 25 Jun 2012
Scorsese's bets looking film. And this might be my favorite De Niro performance, as Ace Rothstien.
This really is an underrated film. As long as you don't go into it expecting Goodfellas 2, and as long as you know it's 3 hours long, you'll enjoy it.
Sharon Stone is unreal in this movie, not afraid to play perhaps the most unsympathetic woman in a crime film ever.
And Pesci ends his trilogy of films with Scorsese with a bang. That Chicago accent he uses in this film, for whatever reason is scares me.
"Charlie M? You made me pop your @#$%in' eye out of your head to protect that piece of @#$%?!".
If you can, watch it on Hi-Def like I did. Vegas never looked so good.
