Review of Casino (1995) by Viraj A — 24 Feb 2013
The movie that tries to be Goodfellas, but well it just isn't Goodfellas! It is definitely a little bloated in terms of narrative and run-time, however Casino is certainly a great movie in its own right.
Joe Pesci once again plays the role of an unbridled psychopath to perfection. Sharon Stone in her performance as Ginger walks the very fine line between pitiful and over-dramatic with an eerie ease. Robert De Niro definitely holds his own here as well.
Casino may not be the the classic it tries to be, but it is certainly worth the watch.
