Review of Casino (1995) by Stefan G — 16 Oct 2013

It may be incredibly long, but it builds up to an effective conclusion, with a rather compelling story. The characters have really hard-hitting personalities, coupled with brilliant acting. Though it sounds like another Goodfellas-style flick, it offers some unique moments, and the style of the movie is great, featuring some damn fine music.

Sometimes, the film can be very violent, but I think that allows you to think of why the mobsters in the film are bad people. Overall, it's very good movie, but it doesn't quite match up to the films it was trying to emulate.
