Excited to see this film since this not a usual role for will ferrel, I was very disappointed in casa de mi padre. It wasn't funny , and it wasn't very dramatic as I usually think of Mexican dramas, telenovelas.

It seemed it conflicting with the differen genres of film. The movie was also slow with almost half of the film unbearable to watch. It starts to get better once will Ferrel's character gets dirty with the main actress.

But this isnt seen until more than half way through. Also, I thought the film was cheap which can be seen in a few scenes the scene that comes to mind is when ferrel and friends arrive in town for the bar.

I'm glad I didn't see it theaters. Still better than the campaign.
