Cars 2 has the visuals and action to keep you entertained, but no real story. It will be a fun movie for kids, but anybody else will find themselves bored. The story is all over the place, with some espionage sub plot that has nothing to do with cars.

The characters, like the first film, aren't very compelling because they're cars. It's predictable, uninspired, and might I dare say lazy. This is the studio that brought us Toy Story, this is a really low standard for PIXAR.

There are some fun moments of racing action, but the story becomes almost too dark. In the end, Cars 2 disappoints, but isn't a complete waste of time. Cars 2 gets 2/5 stars (C).
