Review of Carrington V.C. (1954) by Andrew H — 29 Sep 2008
This is an interesting film as there is hardly any background to the characters or any background to the incident of the court martial. That is because up until half way through the film it is up to the audience to judge Carrington; This is done quite cleverly. There are no flash backs it is told as it would be through a court room.
David Niven plays Carrington quite well as there isn't actuallt that much movement in the film but is more to do with dialogue, tone of voice and body language.
Overall this is quite a good film with over three quarters of the film in a court room and it has a rather dramatic ending.
