It was enjoyable enough but as a remake it wasn't great. I love Chloe Grace Moretz, I think she's a brilliant young actress but I don't think she was the right choice for the character of Carrie.
Her performance was no way near as good as Sissy Spacek's. On the other hand Julianne Moore was a fantastic choice for Carrie's crazy mother. It brought it all up to date and made it a lot easier to understand but I just don't think it needed a remake.
The ending wasn't nearly as epic, it didn't have the same woah factor. Watchable but overall disappointing.
