I feel like Carol had a lot of potential, because it has a pretty interesting story and setting, however the way this story is told, perse, feels like it drags on so much, making it boring. Sure, you're in love but doubtful, but why make us watch the characters look out through windows for such long periods of time.
Maybe I'm being harsh because I expected more from it, as I'm kinda of a big fan of Rooney Mara. The 50's set didn't help either,as this specific period of time usually seems boring to me.
Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara do a pretty good acting job nevertheless.
