Review of Carol (2015) by Alex P — 05 Oct 2016
The most emotionally gripping movie I've seen in years. A chance encounter between two women from different socio-economic strata and age groups find one another and you gradually see their love come to life and you relish every moment.
If you've had this experience, this is a chance to relive it. Blanchett and Mara hit it out of the park, I give a slight edge to Mara's performance (changed my mind after the second viewing). It's been a while since I cared that much about an ending to a movie.
I've been around a while and my all time favorite goes back to early 80's (Raging Bull) which has now been replaced by "Carol". (and from nowhere came competition from "Brooklyn).
