Carol is a beautiful film that is carried on the shoulders of two incredible peformances. Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara are just fantastic as Carol and Therese. Their chemistry is simply off the charts.
Todd Haynes direction also deserves a mention as it was great as well. His ability to capture the essense of 1950s America was remarkable. The narrative in this film can be a bit thin at times but this is a movie that you watch for the peformances.
I recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of great acting.
