Rooney Mara reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in this film. Hard to believe this is the actress from Girl with the Dragon Tattoo! Highly stylized, and engaging film. Blanchett is wonderful as usual. Her performance in Blue Jasmine was more brilliant (because of the character/story Woody Allen created).
But this film tells an important love story. I'm grateful I wasn't living during those times when homosexuality was thought to be immoral.
