Review of Carol (1990) by Brad S — 17 Jun 2016

I really wasn't very keen on this film. It is a well made movie, but I couldn't get into the story and found it rather boring, it took me a few tries to complete it. I gave it a passing grade as the cinematography is gorgeous and Cate Blanchett is absolutely brilliant, she is perhaps the finest actress working today aside from Meryl Streep.

Unfortunately, Rooney Mara doesn't do much for me, I find her stiff and cold, she reminds me of Keanu Reeves in a sense, in the right role she is good, but she can't stretch what she does much.

In any case, this is a film that you should see and judge for yourself.
