Review of Carnival of Souls (1962) by Kyle H — 01 Mar 2008
This review is in reference to the B&W 80 minute print. That was one hell of an abrupt beginning. Yes, abrupt beginning. The editing was juvenille at times, but the overall tone, style, and story were top notch and had some genuine chills.
Mary, who's facial expressions are sometimes more chilling than the souls, was one hell of a detached uppity bitch, which worked well with this movie.
