Review of Carnival of Souls (1962) by Brian R — 19 Sep 2010
This is probably the only B&W horror film that could possibly stand against something like "Night of the Living Dead" or "Psycho", The whole macabre nature of this movie is so creepy and ominous and adds to the horrific nature of the ghouls haunting Mary.
The twist ending is so original and well executed that you don't feel cheated or tricked. "Carnival of Souls" is probably one of the most influential horror films of all time.
