Review of Carnival of Souls (1962) by Daryl K — 02 Jul 2013
A no-budget ghost story picture that gets by on B&W atmosphere, and a twist ending that M. Night Shyamalan surely must've dug. The indie filmmakers appear to be making a lot up on the fly, which is bad in the sense that there's little story to be had here, but good in that several images found on location really do add to the film's creepiness.
