Review of Carnage (2014) by George E — 24 Aug 2012
Even though she intensely overreacted, I loved Jodie Foster's acting. Kate Winslet, another favourite actress of mine, was also good but I thought she wasn't the comedic type. I loved the dialogue and the one-day/real time setting. I really hoped that this film would've had a good resolution, in which it didn't unfortunately.
I found the vomiting scene very unsettling and uncalled for. It was totally unneeded. Worse, even though she was drunk, Nancy calling Pen's son a "wimpy-ass faggot". The writer must've hated gays or kids here, you can't call a minor that word, not unless if it's a psycho saying that, but from a mother's mouth? Totally unrealistic.
