Roman Polanski's Carnage is set in New York where two grade-school boys have been fighting on a playground. The parents on both sides is very upset over the whole situation. So Penelope (Jodie Foster) and Michael Longstreet (John C.

Reilly) invites the parents of the boy who hit their child, Nancy (Kate Winslet) and Alan Cowan (Christoph Watlz) over to discuss the matter, which started out as short consultation between grown ups, but escalate into something worse, where we get to see all the negative dark side of all four in the tiny apartment.

What is special about this barely 70 minutes long film is that it's filmed in real time, just like The Rope and High Noon. And it's an intense film, with all human emotions, all the dark sides of the human mind evolved on the screen.

Thumbs up.
