Review of Cyclo (1995) by Jens T — 18 May 2013

Cyclo, a Vietnamese film about a cycle rickshaw driver in Ho Chi Mihn City who one day gets his bicycle stolen from a local mob who forces him to commit all sorts of crimes. The mob is brutal, but this film also shows us a tender side, with one of the mobster also being a poet.

But the drivers sister is also dragged into this mess as a prostitute, who's also the love interest to the poet, who can't stand that she's being treated so bad by other clients, and slowly drifts away from him.
