Review of Carlito's Way (1993) by Sam C — 06 Feb 2010
Carlitos Ways is a brilliant portrayal of the human character and how it affects people in diffrent ways. Al Pacino is on top form as Carlito who is in a catch 22 situation and wanting to be free from the constraints of an unforgivable NYC.
Its a thrilling tale which keeps you stuck to your seat for the whole 144 mins. De Palma and Pacinos partnership help this film to outline its status as the benchmark we all look for in a gangster flick and will have inspired a generation of film makers and actors into finding a film that is not only easy to watch but which also lauds praise from the most important critics of them all the audience.
