Review of Carlito's Way (1993) by Brad S — 22 Sep 2012
Despite Pacino's best efforts, this movie just has way too many flaws to get past on its way towards it's hoped for destination. I just couldn't stand the voice over, a too contrived plot, over the top music, and performances from the supporting cast that bordered on ludicrous.
I give De Palma props for trying to craft a different crime pic, but it just didn't work here.
