Review of Carlito's Way (1993) by Blanky A — 24 Jun 2010
Brian De Palma isn't the most original director, but he does reasonably well with "Carlito's Way," a boilerplate gangster picture elevated by great performances. However, I must note that the third act gunfight in a subway station is remarkably similar to a scene in De Palma's own "The Untouchables;" has the director resorted to ripping himself off?
