Interesting take on the standard "zombie" narrative. Where it excels is in its pull on your emotions, especially as a parent. Would definitely recommend. Could understand a disconnect for overall theme as it is set in Australia and Americans may not understand or appreciate the aboriginal context included.
Overall this doesn't take away from the film, but would simply add more depth for someone more familiar with it.
