Review of Cargo 200 (2007) by Renatas J — 02 Dec 2007
A very crude and morbid movie which makes Hostel I and II look like comedies (although there is almost no blood). The grim scenery and apalling social conditions in this average industrial russian city are very convincing and frightening enough.
But what happens in this movie is too disturbing. The well-known director Balabanov won some international awards in the past, but this time he will not be acclaimed (I guess). He has simply gone too far and crossed the boundaries of good taste.
