Review of Career Opportunities (1991) by Todd L — 12 May 2010
One of the weaker offerings from the pen of John Hughes. Whaley's character is recycles from several other Hughes creations...part Anthony Michael Hall geek, part Ferris Bueller. Throw in oily younger versions of the bumbling Home Alone type crooks and there's not much left that's original.
But, in 1991 I still had a huge crush on Jennifer Connelly, so I was willing to overlook all that.
