Review of Caramel (2007) by Chris S — 25 Sep 2008
It is almost like a Pedro Almodovar movie with the mostly female cast, the pleasant visuals, and the colors but without the melodrama. There's no melodrama at all; it's just about the everyday lives of ordinary yet interesting women.
This film is also something that I'd like to see more in other films since I am completely tired of movies with mostly-male casts and pure machismo. Bliss is shown with the caramel and gentle hairwashing, and each woman in this film has her own problem in life or love.
