Review of Captain Corelli's Mandolin (2001) by Brendan N — 11 Mar 2009
Cage in the lead fails to invoke any credibility for the film. he's accent comes and goes which kills the film dead in its tracks. the only person who seems to be acting is john hurt who always manages to create great performances.
sadly in the end this is a film that had too much source material and was quite difficult to condense. intriguing and well filmed but without substance this film misses the mark.
