An unlikely romance on an idyllic but occupied Greek island is tragically complicated when WWII finally hits home. A strong beginning, but starts losing steam by the middle and outruns viewer interest by 30 or 40 minutes.
None of the actors seemed that interested in their roles, which may be the director's fault and certainly hobbled the film.
