Review of Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) by Bradley W — 23 Apr 2014
Captain America: The First Avenger proves Chris Evans to be a brilliant actor to play a brilliant superhero, but it also gives us a chance to see a very intriguing and different kind of film. Its an addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe that is a big set up for the epic Avengers, but in many ways it works.
Its a great way to introduce a hero that represents bravery and courage, and who must go through hell to figure out his destiny. I enjoyed the villain played by Hugo Weaving, who gives a very menacing and sinister Red Skull.
Villains a very important factor for me in this series, and it worked well here. Here is an addition to a brilliant franchise that is an essential watch for all lovers of the genre and want a great setup for future installments for this hero.
While the best part about this movie is the character himself and is development, it stills boasts some great action and is more than worth a trip to the theater. It may get a little too strange in some moments, you can't deny the fun aura that the film gives off.
Can't wait to see what they do next.
