Review of Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) by Jesse G — 27 Mar 2016
Captain America is a clean cut hero that is all about sacrifice and honor. This is a movie that the Marvel movie machine is good at because even the source material is clean cut. Chris Evans gives a solid performance and the writing does a lot to build the image of Cap. It even pay respects to the more campy aspects of the character while bringing it to the present. I would have liked to seen more Hugo Weaving (Red Skull) interaction but the performance was solid and the make up was spot on.
A very great kid friendly movie.
