Review of Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) by Jacob C — 22 Dec 2015
Joe Johnston channels as much of Raiders of the Lost Ark as he can while injecting it with classic Marvel characters. Chris Evans' unshakable performance as Steve Rogers was brilliant casting, and the short-lived yet authentic and believable relationship with Haley Atwell's Peggy Carter is endearing and heartfelt.
A little over the top at times (mostly with the villains), but still a fantastic entry to the MCU and introduction to our Captain America.
