Review of Capitalism: A Love Story (2009) by Adam K — 09 May 2010
Say what you will about Michael Moore's antics, Capitalism: A Love Story is one of the best films of 2009 and is the best documentary I have ever seen.
Shocking, poignant, and entertaining. Moore's directorial narrative is a roller coaster ride of horror, humanity and hilarity. From FDR's proposed 'Second Bill of Rights' to the prophetic warning of Jimmy Carter (or Debbie-Downer as Moore introduces him), this is a deep reflection on the system and culture we are all pawns (or 'dead peasants') of.
No matter your political convictions this is a film well worth two hours of your time, because as Moore concludes, something must change...now could you hurry it up.
