Review of Capitalism: A Love Story (2009) by Robert H — 02 Jul 2010

Mr. Moore is at it again tooting his own horn and looking like a crazy person. But that's what we like about his movies right? This time he seems to be tackling Capitalism but it's hard to tell as he goes into things like Huricane Katrina and democracy instead of staying on subject. This is perhaps his weakest film to date. It's almost like he pieced much of it together from leftovers from his other films. He even references his other films in this film. Hmmmmm I can only hope Moore donates every single penny he makes from this film to help pay for some homes for those that have lost them due to the market crash. I mean, he does use them and their situation a lot to "sell" his story.

While there is some really good and pertinent information in the film, most of it is off topic, wasted space. At one point I almost thought he was going to say 9/11 was manufactured in order to help the rich... instead he lets you make up your own mind on the subject ;).

If you're looking for a Sicko or Bowling for Columbine, don't bother. This isn't either of those films. Sure there are moments, but they are few and far between in this blatant piece of propaganda.

While I agree with much of what he is trying to say, I think in the end, he missed the point.
