Review of Capitalism: A Love Story (2009) by Brian Y — 03 Jul 2010
While in the past he focused more narrowly on GM or health care, this time he focused more on the financial crisis and more broadly on some of the problems with our current system of capitalism and the effects it has on those living in poverty, affected by the financial meltdown, or lost their home in the sub-prime mortgage crisis.
Moore seems to be arguing for a better regulated financial and housing sector and a more equity and equality to be enshrined in our economy. Interestingly enough, he also delves into religion and presents the social justice aspects of Catholic teachings which denounce some of the evils in capitalism.
