Kudos for Nadine Labaki, the first female Arab filmmaker to be nominated for a Best Foreign Language Film Oscar, for her heart-wrenching social-realist critique of child neglect in any developing country as we follow the misadventures of an angry and precociously streetwise refugee boy (playing himself) abandoned to fend for himself and an Ethiopian toddler on the mean streets of Lebanon.
