Review of Cape Fear (1991) by Ewan G — 18 Mar 2009
Martin Scorsese's remake of the 1962 classic.
Man leaves prison after 14 years & comes back to harrass the lawyer who put him away & his family.
De Niro plays a sort of camp Harvey Keitel but is still pretty scary. Personally I prefered Robert Mitchum in the original.
The main thing that is better than the original are the women, especially a young Juliette Lewis as Danielle.
Nice to see three of the original cast in there but does get a bit silly towards the end.
