Review of Cape Fear (1991) by Matthew M — 24 May 2009
I enjoyed this movie. Some parts were so crazy and psycotic and Robert Deniro's character is great. There were many weird moments and the film had sort of an odd feel to it. It was something I normally don't feel in thrillers.
The way it was shot and the almost superhuman quality of Max Cady made it even more different. I enjoy stalker movies however it did not really focus much on how Robert De Niro did the act but more of how the family was being affected by what he did.
His methods were simply revenge for being in Jail. The boat scene is awesome though and a really intense. Overall a great film with a great cast and excellently directed.
