Slick thriller imminently suspensful and enthralling. Even when it goes over the top or DeNiro gets a littly campy. A good solid commercial choice for Martin Scorsese. If Martin Scorsese just made these type of user friendly suspense thrillers all his life he'd probably be a rich man twice over.
But thankfully Scorsese usually does personal films and this was actually just a contractual job for him when Universal Pictures agreed to make his more personal film "The Last Temptation of Christ".
