Review of Cape Fear (1991) by Nick E — 01 Mar 2013
Creepy and terrifying, featuring the same haunting score from the original classic, Martin Scorsese understands what the film is and knocks it out of the park with tone, setting and thrills especially in the last thirty minutes (Robert De Niro's last shot was terrifying) and is one of Robert De Niro's most underrated performances and never lets you away from Max Cady.
A great reinvention of the Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum classic.
