Review of Can't Hardly Wait (1998) by Jonathan W — 17 Apr 2008
An underrated teen comedy, "Can't Hardly Wait" was an overlooked offering to the hormone driven comic set of flicks from the late 90s. Aside from "Clueless", this is the best of the batch.
It is consistently funny, often hilariously inspiring, with sharp-written dialogue and characters that are so well written and acted that you could swear they were crafted after so-and-so from your own high school.
With big name stars (who weren't so well known then) popping up nearly every few minutes, and a soundtrack that pulses with teen honesty and angst, it's a wonder that this flick isn't more recognized as the gem that it is.
