Pretty much the original version of movies like "She's All That," "Mean Girls," and "Love Don't Cost a Thing." Those films all copied this very John Hughes-ish 80s movie.
It's no "Breakfast Club," "Say Anything" or "Sixteen Candles"....but it sure beats "St. Elmo's Fire." Oh and watch for a very young Seth Green as Dempsey's kid brother.
