Review of Cannibal Ferox (1981) by Kevin H — 26 Mar 2009
A brutally violent film, Cannibal Ferox (or Make Them Die Slowly) is an exercise in sadism at its finest. The plot is extremely loose and really only exists to allow us to watch several people be butchered onscreen.
It is in these gruesome deaths however that the film finds its audience. An obvious ripoff (or homage depending on who you ask) of Cannibal Holocaust, this film fails to live up to that one but is still worth a watch if you are a fan of the cannibalism genre.
