Review of Cannibal Ferox (1981) by Michael A — 19 Jul 2009
Second only to Cannibal Holocaust, this entry into the genre is no-holds-barred exploitation at its best! A group of anthropologists from NYC meet up with a couple of cocaine cowboys deep in the Amazon while researching the "myth" of cannibalism among natives.
Things quickly spiral out of control as the group makes enemies with a local native tribe, and soon find out the truth about cannibalism. Like most entries in this genre, the film is chock full of nudity, torture, depraved violence and animal cruelty.
Banned in 37 countries, Cannibal Ferox has plenty to satisfy even the most jaded horror fan.
